Description

Registration for Scotland's Disabled People's Annual Summit 2016 is now live! Register soon as places are limited.

The theme of this year's Summit is housing.

Everyone needs a home. As disabled people we have equal rights to a house which is accessible for us and enables us to enjoy family and neighbourhood life, and to do all the things that others often take for granted.

This year's Summit also sees the launch of the Scottish Government's Delivery Plan on Disability by Jeane Freeman MSP, Minister for Social Security. The plan will set out the actions that the Government will take over to progress disabled people's human rights.

We need your voice and experience of housing - your housing journeys, housing services, your choice of where to live, whether to rent or buy, the design of your house or adaptations to it. We will capture this in a report for Scottish Ministers which will show where there are gaps between what policies say will happen and what actually happens in our every day lives.

Full programme details and confirmation of your place will follow later this month. Register now!
